Katy Perry put her fans in their place after they came for her new look. The soon-to-be former American Idol judge, who recently teased a new album, took to Instagram on Monday to share some behind-the-scenes footage of what goes on in the dressing room ahead of the show.
She filmed her hairstylist chopping her black locks into a chic bob, which was worlds away from her usual sleek centre-parting and waist-length do. Fans didn't hold back after she asked them: "thoughts, comments, concerns," before later revealing it was, in fact, a wig.
One fan admitted: "I don't like your short hair at all," as another asked: "Girl what are you doing?" As a third @themrkingalex fumed: "You really can’t control yourself can you? Someone needs to keep the scissors away from your head. We don’t want Witness 2.0." However, it wasn't all bad as other fans gushed over Katy's new look, with @usernone.io writing: "this wig is gorgeous!!" As another @brettalannelson raved: "Yes to this hair." After getting quite a mixed reaction Katy reassured fans: "You guys had a lot of strong feelings about my haircut. Let's save that energy because this is just a wig." The Dark Horse singer also shared a handful of selfies to her feed.
